Broadview, IL a western suburb 20 miles west of Chicago.

Who are your customers?

Our customers are anyone that has anything to do with the safe running of escalators.  Escalator/elevator maintenance companies, in-house maintenance personnel, transit authorities, airports, ship builders, and government authorities.

Do you make escalators?

No, we manufacture the parts which keep them running.

Does ECS service or maintain escalators?

No, but we sell to those which do.

Are you a division of any other company?

No, ECS is a privately held company and has been managed by the same family since 1961.

What does ECS make then?

Step chain, comb segments, rollers, machined parts, extruded guides.

What about escalator steps?

ECS purchases entire escalators which in some cases are new or in excellent condition.  We will then refurbish the steps to a like new condition for distribution to our customers.

What do you mean like new steps?

What about new steps?

We do make new replacement steps for Montgomery escalators.  These are referred to as thru axle steps.

Is your escalator step chain new or rebuilt?

All of the step chain we manufacture is new.  We never rebuild step chain.
