Ken Sullivan Sr.
After serving in the U.S. Army during World War II, Ken Sr. joined Adams
Elevator Equipment Co. in 1947 as General Manager. In 1961, he went out
on his own and started Elevator Cable and Supply Company, now known as
ECS. Ken Sr. was the President, Treasurer and Salesman of the small
elevator-parts company. His loving wife Lucile was the company's
bookkeeper, typist and confidant. In the early 1980's Ken sold the
company to his two sons (Ken Jr. and Gary) and enjoyed the many benefits
that came with retirement. Sadly, Ken Sr. passed away on December 26,
2009, at the age of 85.
Ken Sullivan Jr.
In the early 1960’s, Ken Jr. started working summers at ECS Corp as a Sales Assistant.
In 1967, after his college graduation, Ken Jr. started working full time for the company and helped grow it to its current size.
Ken Jr. is President of the company and part owner.
Although primarily focused on the financial aspects of running the business, he is never too busy to talk to the people who have made ECS Corp a success – our customers!
Gary Sullivan
As Vice-President and co-owner Gary's responsibilities include sales,
advertising, marketing and product integration. Joining ECS in 1972,
Gary has been instrumental in expanding the company and its product line
to its current levels. Routinely, if you call the office, you may be
told that Gary is on another line. This is because he enjoys talking to
and helping our customers personally. From the smallest parts orders to
the largest request for bid, Gary is always more than willing to help
our customers find what they need.
Ken Sullivan III
The Sullivan dynasty continues with Ken the third.
As Ken Jr’s son, Ken III started working for ECS Corp while in high school in 1982.
Although at times it’s tough to work for the man who grounded you, Ken has been an important addition to the ECS management team.
He currently is in sales, but his background is in purchasing and production where he still plays an active role.
